Making a Transistor Radio

Written by (Rev) G.C.Dobbs with illustrations from B.H.Robinson, this title first appeared in 1972. It details in considerable detail the work required to build "a powerful" transistor radio.

Not only does this book cover the detailed practical work involved but it also goes through some of the basic theory. As an introduction to basic electronics it is quite intense and for this reason aims at a much older audience than most other ladybirds.

Published in 1972 this title is very popular amongst electronic hobbiests. For this reason copies, though not uncommon, are often snapped up very fast. The first editions can be noted since they were published before the changeover to Ladybird Books ie are still Wills & Hepworth. My earliest edition has a tally number of 320 and a price of 15p - tell me if you have an earlier.
