| Introduction A great series here which goes through common everyday technology explaining how they are put together and how they work. This is ladybird at their best, breaking complex things down and explaining them simply. David Carey wrote most of the books and B.H.Robinson did most of the illustrations, although notably some experts seem to have come in to help on some of the more complex equipement. This series first began life in 1965, and initially all the books would have come out in the standard matt format. Somewhere around 1979, two books "Motorcycle" & "Ocean Liner" were dropped and the other 12 reissued each with a distinctive black cover, keeping a very uniform style. I am unable to even guess at when they were finally withdrawn from print. |
