Things To Make First published in 1963, this title written by Mia F.Richey with detailed illustrations from G.Robinson, signalled the start of a new direction for ladybird. The book details in a very 'Blue Peter' style 24 different items to make for small children. Using "simple, inexpensive and readily available materials". From todays standards the results are outstandingly basic but you can imagine the many hours of fun that small children will have had trying these things out. Originally released with a dustjacket the first edition of this title has a tally number of 100 on the rear flap, the new closed wing ladybird logo and the spine text reading top to bottom. |
