| Introduction Aimed at the very, very young, with illustrations, and presumbly the contents, by G.W.Robinson. This simple a.b.c. book remained on its own in a series for many years. It could also be, though again I have no proof, that this title replaced the Uncle's Macs a.b.c, series 455. Eventually, after a long gap, other titles were added to this series, all keeping the striking yellow backgrounds but all aimed at babies/toddlers. Originally the title would have come with a dust jacket over a buff cover. Due to the limited time it appeared with a jacket, DJs being phased out in 1965, together with the over optimism of providing a very small toddler's book with a thin piece of covering paper; this title is very hard to find with the original covering. |
