| Introduction Written by F.E.Newing and Richard Bowood this set is a fascinating cross between science and Blue Peter. Illustrations came from the regular ladybird contributor J.H.Wingfield. The idea behind all four books was to provide simple experiments to demonstrate elementary science to children using simple readily available household items. The first four books all originally came with dust jackets over a buff cover. The books continued until their revisions into the Junior Science series. In turn, these newer books continued for several years but it is very difficult to know when exactly they were withdrawn. |
