Book of Pets The Book of Pets was released by Wills & Hepworth later in 1957. With text by George Cansdale and particularly, it could be said over, stylised illustrations from Edward Osmond. This book doesn't seem to fit together as well as the others in the series, obviously trying to provide a comprehensive "recognition" style covering such a large subject was never going to be easy. Early editions of this book came out with dust jackets and using the old ladybird logo. First editions are the last title listed on the rear flap of the dust jacket. Oddly this title seems to be one of the most tricky to find in this series with a jacket, whilst not uncommon it is harder to find than most other non-fiction titles in its original form.
