What to look for in Summer.

Again E.L.Grant Watson and C.F.Tunnicliffe team up for the next installment of the "What to look for..." series. First published in 1960, this title continues the flowing almost documentary style.

Beautiful illustrations are the key behind this book, again the smaller font size allows powerful descriptions seeing the detail in every picture. We can almost feel the hot, lazy days and experience the heat the basking lizard feels. As children having to do nature projects at school they must have been very useful, I personally remember tracing round several pictures.

Early editions came with dust jackets and the old style logo. First editions would have been the last title listed on the inside of the rear flap. Again the sheer success of this title means that whilst very collectable they are always going to be among the most accessible of all ladybird titles. Withdrawn with the other What to look for titles in 1981.
