  Bunnikin's Picnic Party

Original story and illustrations by A.J.MacGregor, my earliest copy (2nd edition, 1941) states revised but does not have the revised verses by W.Perring.

"Bunnikins Picnic Party is a descriptive verse story about Bunnikin and his brothers and sisters spending a happy day in the woods. Time is forgotten until baby bunny wanders away; all ends well and the weary troop wends its way home in the fading light."

MacGregor starts:
Fluff had a plan, a most marvellous plan,
For a picnic party one day.
So Whiskers, the youngest was sent to enquire
What Mrs. Bunnykins would say.
Perring starts:
Mrs.Bunnikin was darning,
With a stocking in her hand:
In came Bunnikin, her youngest,
Said 'A picnic would be grand!'
