  Lost at the Fair

Story and illustrations by A.J.MacGregor, verses by W.Perring. My earliest edition (2nd, 1949) states the first edition was published in 1948.

The Dormouse family go to the newly arrived fair full of excitement. On the way they meet up with poor Fieldie Mouse and Mrs Dormouse kindly agrees to take him with them. At fair are all kinds of wonderful things including an elephant ride. But while on it Dannie gets stuck in a tree, after acorns. Luckily a blackbird catches him and flies him back to the fair and a very worried Mrs. Dormouse.
