The natural first stop for ladybird fans. Although the emphasis is very much on the present and future there is still a strong acknowledgement of the history that the brand name of ladybird carries.

One of the first things that you notice on the site is that the historical information about Wills & Hepworth/Ladybird Books is patchy to say the least. Here is where the challenge of collecting begins. There are no official records of the ladybirds produced - at least not comprehensive enough for collectors. I suspect much of the information has been lost through the years and indeed was probably never kept in the first place.

That said "About Ladybird" gives a brief guide to the history of ladybird books. From the meeting of Wills and Hepworth to the rise of one of the best known names in childrens books. The major events are pointed out as we travel through history, from the initial 401 series through to the stunningly successful Keyword series.
